reparationWorks offers services for individuals/congregations/groups seeking to deepen their practice of transformative/abolitionist reparations. We strive to meet our partners/clients where they are and often include assessment and discovery in our process of determining what might serve your needs best. Our Approach: Centering Spirit
Offerings/Services
We price our offerings reparatively, meaning we invite white groups to offer more resources for our services, and offer them at a subsidized cost to Black or POC groups. Please reach out, and let’s discuss your needs!
Embedding spiritual practice throughout our services is at the core of our work. We help faith communities draw on familiar and grounding practices that help situate learning in the context of creating Beloved spiritual community and acting from a mystical and community orientation that is unified and arises from our most real/authentic selves. We perceive that there is an energetics of racial repair that is aligned with faith practice at its best, and we pursue relentlessly in our work.
When power is freed and shifted, the vision and aspiration that we all have for Beloved community—in some small way—is invited to manifest itself. That shift in power releases energy that is available to fuel motivation, bravery, and love. We have seen that when folks have a tangible, embodied experience of acting in deeply co-created, mutually held space, it can upend oppressive power dynamics. The energy released by that quality of being and being-with can propel and permeate action towards meaningful reparative justice.
Reparations Journey/Course
Do you want to move your congregation substantively in their capacity to implement reparative projects and culture change? We offer a combination of an intensive course (suggested to be delivered with a core group over several months, but we can tailor the experience to your needs) with coaching and other interventions for congregations seeking to build reparations capacity for a team within your congregation. We have a tested curriculum that can be adjusted for different faith contexts to build reparationist muscles, insights, and structure in your congregation.

We offer retreat and workshop design and facilitation to meet the needs of your community. Whether you have a reparations committee that needs extra support in envisioning its reparationist projects or are just beginning to consider reparations within your congregation, we can design an experience that helps move along your goals.

Lucy and Ant are both experienced public speakers and have preached together several times in the course of their work with reparationWorks. If you’d like to catalyze the conversation around reparations, inviting them to offer a message/sermon/talk can help inspire your congregation or group.

Do you need support with your congregation or group and want some time to share your ideas and get feedback for your project or situation in an intimate, confidential coaching context?
